We are the clay. You are the Potter.

There has not been a regular publication of the “Clay Tablet” since Birnie Bornn’s retirement. I think it is time to bring back our newsletter and bring all of you up to date on Potter’s Clay Quartet.
The present group consists of Ed Parkins, Bert Adrian, Don Matchullis, Wayne McCrackin, Elliot Fleck on the piano and Ken Newbury on sound.
Our newest member is Wayne McCrackin. Wayne grew up on a farm near Rimbey, Alberta. Wayne and his wife Evelyn have raised two daughters (both have made them grandparents). While on the farm they raised cattle and ran a building construction company. Early in the 1990,s both Wayne and Evelyn felt a called into ministry. Leaving Rimbey they moved their family to Winnipeg. After College they pastored a church in Drumheller, Alberta. While there Wayne became involved with the Federal penitentiaries as Chaplain. After working as a chaplain in Barrie Ontario, they moved back to Alberta, where Wayne is now a carpenter instructor and Evelyn is a nurse in the Bowden penitentiary. We are glad to welcome Wayne to Potter’s Clay Quartet.
Now for a look at the future. February 2012 Potter’s Clay plans to join Christlike Ministries from Warman, Saskatchewan on a mission trip to Juarez Mexico. We have often talked about doing a mission trip and now it all seems to be coming together in the Lords timing. The plan, as of now, is to travel with our bus to El Paso, meeting up with the Christlike Ministries team.
We plan to do a few concerts on the way. Once we are in Juarez we will stay in the Christlike Ministries compound, working together to do construction work and sing where they have services. As details work out in the next few months we will keep you posted.
Next newsletter I will write about Christlike Ministries and bring you up to date on Elliot and his trip to Steve Hurst School of Music.
Thank you all for your continued support through finances and prayers.
